What brought you to CFB? My former captain, Captain Tony Aaron recommended it as a great way to be physically conditioned for a law enforcement work environment.
How long have you been a member at CFB? For about 5 months (I think)
What is your athletic background? Played football and powerlifted in high school. Have ran long distance endurance from an early age.
How has CFB changed your life, lifestyle and level of fitness? It has made me more knowledgeable about how the human body muscle groups work together. It has made me a more safety conscious lifter, but at the same time gives me more drive and motivation when working out with the other people in my class. CFB members make it fun and competitive when lifting which really helps when you are trying to push yourself.
What is one thing you have done through CFB that you never thought you could do? Being able to walk on my hands.
What motivates/inspires you? The desire to be the most physically proficient officer as possible in order to better serve the community that I'm responsible for protecting.
Name one goal you would like to achieve? A ring muscle up.
Any advice for new members or people thinking about starting CrossFit? It’s worth every cent! The average gym membership may not cost as much as CFB but it’s not the same type of workout. CFB challengesathletes on all aspects including strength, cardio, endurance, explosion, agility, etc. The environment is inviting and establishes a sense of security. Everyone is working up from different levels. I encourage everyone to take the plunge and join.
