More Than Just a Workout

CrossFit Brownwood is nothing like a traditional gym, not because we like to be different, but because the methods and programming WORK! For over four years in Brownwood its proven to shape individuals into healthier and happier people!

Below I've listed some of the benefits of CrossFit OTHER THAN the workouts that no other "fitness center" can provide...

1. Coaching - So you need some help with what to do at the gym? A typical personal trainer is an option but outrageously expensive. CrossFit offers outstanding CERTIFIED coaches in a group setting, dramatically lowering the cost of a personal trainer and the added benefit of working out alongside your friends. Additionally the daily WOD is always programmed daily with the objective of getting you fit! All of our CFB coaches are there to offer hands on training to ensure you execute all the movements properly.

2. Accountability - Each WOD covers a certain number of movements that must be completed within a period of time. No one is counting for you so it’s up to you to keep track of your movements. Sure you can fib your way through a WOD but that's not an option here as only by completing the workouts can one truly get fit enough to be able to keep up and see results!

3. Motivation - There is a HUGE difference between working out with a group of friends versus by yourself.  When you workout alone you are limited to the amount of motivation you can give yourself; in a small group of like-minded people you are constantly pushed to go beyond what you ever thought you were capable of. CrossFit is an identity, it doesn’t just transform your physical state, it changes your outlook on life and improves self-confidence in spades.

4. Community – As a regular CrossFitter you end up spending an hour a day everyday with a group of people who share the same desire and will power to constantly push the limits of their minds and bodies. As Greg Glassman put so well, consider us a cult if you want, but we wear that as a badge of honor, our cult is about the improvement of peoples minds and bodies - now that's a group of people I want to belong to...

Maybe it is a cult, one where people get really fit and support each other...
