Meet Andy, a hard sell on the benefit of taking on a 30-day Paleo Nutrition challenge. Andy works a schedule that is crazier than any I have ever seen and he commutes in from Abilene. Andy is away from his house so much he doesn't even keep a full size fridge in his kitchen because he has no use for it. This kind of schedule has kept Andy in the mindset that eating healthy is just not possible, he was one of those that needed quick convenient food and in his mind there was no way to really eat good whole foods like the Paleo diet calls for.
But Andy is a competitor and one who likes to participate in everything we do at the gym, so just before our Summer 30-day Paleo challenge Andy told me he was going to do it, but he wasn't going all-in with it. He would eat Paleo some of the time but reserve the right to eat what he wanted when he felt the need or the urge.
In the back of my mind I was thinking, o.k. Andy try it and let's see how far you get.
But then something happened in him and he figured it out. He figured out that even he can make good healthy eating habits work regardless of his work and life schedules.
There are ways to make it happen once you buckle down and make a commitment to yourself to get healthy.
It isn't easy, but it is is worth it. Just ask Andy.
Here are his Day 1 and Day 30 pictures from the challenge. I think you will agree that in 30 days he made a pretty significant change in his body. And that is just going by how he is looking. Andy is continuing to set p.r.'s in the gym and starting to chase gym records in almost every category of fitness.
